Oliver & Blake Cookie Policy

Last updated: June 2, 2026

Overview This Cookie Policy explains how Oliver & Blake uses cookies and similar technologies on our website. It tells you what cookies we use, what they do, and how you can control them.

This policy should be read alongside our Privacy Policy, which explains in more detail how we handle personal information collected through these cookies and elsewhere on the site.

We only place non-essential cookies on your device after you have given consent through our cookie banner. Strictly necessary cookies are placed without consent because the site cannot function without them. This is explained in Section 2.

1. What Cookies Are

Cookies are small text files that a website places on your device when you visit. They let the site recognise your browser, remember your actions and preferences, and understand how the site is being used. Some of the services described in this policy, particularly analytics tools like Hotjar and Microsoft Clarity, also use related technologies such as tracking pixels and browser local storage. These work similarly to cookies and are governed by the same choices in our cookie banner. In this policy, we use the word "cookies" to cover all of them.

Cookies do not normally identify you personally. They identify your device and your browser session. Some of the cookies described below are set by us, and others are set by third-party services that run on our site, such as Google or Meta. Where third parties set cookies, those companies are responsible for the data they collect, and we link to their own policies in Section 4.

2. Your Choices and How the Cookie Banner Works

When you first visit our site, you will see a cookie banner with two options:

  • Accept all: This means you agree to all of the cookies described in this policy being placed on your device, including those used for analytics, advertising, and our email marketing.

  • Accept only necessary: This means only the cookies that are strictly necessary for the site to work will be placed on your device. We will not fire any analytics, advertising, or email marketing cookies on your visit.

Whichever you choose, your decision is remembered for future visits. You can change your mind at any time by clearing your cookies through your browser settings, which will cause the banner to appear again on your next visit, or by contacting us at support@oliverandblake.com to ask us to record your updated preference.

The banner is the easiest way to manage cookies on our site. You can also use the controls in your browser, described in Section 5, to block or delete cookies directly.

3. The Categories of Cookies We Use

We group the cookies on our site into the following categories:

Strictly Necessary Cookies These cookies are essential for the website to function. They cannot be turned off in our systems. Without them, basic features like adding items to your cart, logging in, and completing a purchase would not work. We use these cookies regardless of which option you choose in our cookie banner because the site cannot operate without them.

These include cookies that:

  • Keep your shopping cart populated as you browse

  • Maintain your session while you are signed in

  • Process checkout securely

  • Remember basic preferences such as currency and language

  • Help protect against fraudulent activity

Most of these are set by Shopify, the platform that powers our store. Shopify's full list of essential cookies and what they do can be found in their official help documentation.

Analytics Cookies These cookies help us understand how visitors use our site, which pages are popular, where people come from, and where they leave the site. We use this information to improve how the site works. These cookies do not run if you select Accept only necessary. Analytics cookies on our site are placed by:

  • Google Analytics 4 (_ga, ga*): Used to understand visitor numbers, traffic sources, and user behaviour across the site.

  • Microsoft Clarity (_clck, _clsk, CLID, ANONCHK, MR, MUID, SM): Used to record session replays and create heatmaps that show how visitors interact with our pages. We configure Clarity to mask the personal information you enter on the site.

  • Hotjar (hjSessionUser, hjSession, _hjid, _hjIncludedInSessionSample): Used to record session replays and create heatmaps that help us improve the customer experience, configured the same way to mask the personal information you enter.

Marketing and Advertising Cookies These cookies are used to deliver more relevant advertising to you on other websites after you visit ours, and to measure how well our advertising campaigns perform. They allow advertising platforms to recognise that you have visited our site so that we can show you our products elsewhere. These cookies do not run if you select Accept only necessary. Marketing cookies on our site are placed by:

  • Meta / Facebook Pixel (_fbp, fr): Used to measure the effectiveness of our advertising on Facebook and Instagram, and to show you our products on those platforms after you visit us.

  • Google Ads (_gcl_au, _gcl_aw): Used to measure the effectiveness of our Google Ads campaigns and to support remarketing.

Email Marketing Cookies These cookies help us deliver more relevant email content and measure how our emails perform. This cookie does not run if you select Accept only necessary.

  • Klaviyo (__kla_id): Used to recognise customers who have signed up to our emails, link their on-site behaviour to their email profile, and tailor the content we send.

Third-Party Widget Cookies Cookies set by services we embed on the site to provide specific features.

  • Trustpilot (__cf_bm and others): Used to display customer reviews on our site and to allow you to submit a review. The Trustpilot widget loads when you view a page that includes reviews. The cookies it sets are controlled by Trustpilot.

4. Third-Party Links

The cookies in Section 3 are placed by third-party services. Each of those services has its own privacy and cookie policies, which describe in detail what they collect and how they use it.

If you have a question about what any third party does with the data they collect, those policies are the most authoritative source.

5. Managing Cookies Through Your Browser

Even after making a choice in our cookie banner, you can use your browser settings to block or delete cookies at any time. The exact steps depend on which browser you use:

  • Chrome: Settings > Privacy and security > Cookies and other site data

  • Safari: Settings > Privacy > Manage Website Data

  • Firefox: Settings > Privacy and Security > Cookies and Site Data

  • Edge: Settings > Cookies and site permissions > Manage and delete cookies and site data

Please note that if you block essential cookies through your browser, parts of our site, including the shopping cart and checkout, may not work properly.

6. Do Not Track Signals

Some browsers offer a Do Not Track setting that asks websites not to track you. There is currently no universal standard for how websites should respond to this signal. Our site does not currently respond to Do Not Track signals, but you can manage your preferences through our cookie banner or your browser settings as described above.

7. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time, for example, if we add or remove a tool that sets cookies, or if the law changes. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this policy. We recommend reviewing this page from time to time to stay informed.
